Co-Op Software/Computer Engineering Technologist
ESAC leads the electrical industry in innovative power system integrated solutions based on technology, service, and value. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and professional team member who has completed the 4th academic term of a 6-term program. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience during a 4-month co-op position, with the possibility of extension. This placement will provide an insightful Power Systems Software & Communications experience with valuable involvement in our various projects and services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist project technical staff with design support, configuration, testing, and implementation of systems
- Create drawings, cable schedules, and integration systems assembly and testing
- Manage materials for communications, hardware, and software
- Provide applications investigation support, testing, and reporting
- Servers, workstations, LAN/WAN, and serial communications
- HMI SCADA database, graphics, and SQL
- User manuals and overall project documentation
What We're Looking For
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCad
- Experience in Windows operating systems, system administration, visual basic, SCADA communications, and HMI development
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be very motivated and show initiative
- Enthusiastic about taking on responsibilities and completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written
