Technology Solutions - Information Technology Services 

The Software Analyst plans, designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software, using communication skills to determine what function the needed software application will perform, analytical skills to plan the architecture and engineering of the project, programming skills to build the software, and precise attention to detail to test and debug it.

Working under general direction, they are regarded as a high-level technical expert acting as team leader on less complex projects and assisting in training of less experienced programming staff

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have:

  • Successful completion of a College diploma in Computer Science or as acceptable by the Hospital
  • Minimum 5 years recent and related work experience
  • Excellent technical, programming and data analysis skills
  • Understand relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQLServer
  • Advanced understanding of the PHP programming language
  • Advanced understanding of the Javascript programming language
  • Advanced understanding of the Laravel MVC framework
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Transport and Markup: HTML and CSS
  • Advanced knowledge of Productivity Tools: MS Project, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, Visio
  • Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Strong testing methodology
  • Advanced experience with project management
  • Knowledge of clinical processes and nomenclature an asset
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to manage change
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
