We're Hiring a Talent Acquisition Consultant!

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant who can partner with leaders to solve real workforce challenges - thinking strategically about how work is designed, how teams grow, and how great people are attracted to join them.
This is a role for someone who enjoys influencing hiring decisions, advising leaders, and improving how talent acquisition works in complex organizations.

You’ll work directly with leaders across campus to strengthen how we hire and build teams.
You’re not just comfortable running talent processes, you enjoy partnering with leaders and influencing better hiring decisions.

This is a regular full-time opportunity, fully in-person on-site. Salary Grade 16: base salary of $74,990 - $107,050 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

What you’ll be trusted to do
You’ll work directly with leaders across campus to strengthen how we hire and build teams.
- Partnering with hiring leaders to plan talent acquisition strategically, not just respond to vacancies
- Advising on role design, job scope, and workforce planning
- Leading end-to-end talent acquisition processes for professional and leadership roles
- Coaching hiring panels on effective, inclusive selection practices
- Developing targeted sourcing strategies to attract strong and diverse talent pools
- Providing insights on labour market trends and talent acquisition approaches
- Identifying opportunities to improve talent acquisition practices and candidate experience
You’re not just comfortable running talent processes, you enjoy partnering with leaders and influencing better hiring decisions.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years comprehensive experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR advisory roles
- Certification in Human Resources Leadership (CHRL) or Organizational Design
- Confidence working with senior or complex business partners
- Strong judgement when advising on role design and recruitment strategy
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple talent projects while maintaining a great candidate experience
- Experience recruiting in large or complex organizations (education, healthcare, government, or corporate environments)
- Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset
- You’ll be a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, not just a process manager
- You’ll influence how work is structured and roles are designed
- You’ll work across a diverse and intellectually rich campus environment
- You’ll help shape better hiring practices across the organization
