React Front End Developer

We are looking for a talented and passionate React Front End Developer to join our team. This role works closely with the Vice President of Development and the Product Team to drive our platforms forward. As well as being supported by full-stack and backend developers to ensure you are set up for success.

Your key responsibilities in this role would include driving our software forward by writing code and contributing to the design and implementation of our products. Working alongside our Product Team, you will be championing translating Figma designs into replicated React components, bringing design into reality. To be a successful Developer at HR4, you must possess extensive experience in software development alongside great skill in creativity and innovation, an ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, possess excellent communication skills, and have a deeply rooted passion for testing!

Specific Responsibilities:

• The React Front End Developer is a cross functional position that helps in various projects, as required, across either software platforms. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with the team to solve problems and create user interfaces.
• Front end development of websites and applications
• Performing coding assignments
• Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality
• Identifying user and system requirements for new applications
• Liaising with the Product Team to review UI/UX design elements
• Running functionality testing’s and debugging code
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments
• Prioritizing given projects, setting timelines and delivering within the same
• Taking responsibility for development work done and ownership of thorough quality control

Skills and Competencies:

• Must have 3+ year experience in front end development using React Framework supported by Node.js.
• Additional backend experience coding in Node.js a strong asset.
• An eagle eye for the detail in design with an innate understanding of UI/UX processes.
• Proven experience in development of flexible and scalable web-based applications.
• Familiarity with AWS & Docker.
• Familiarity with Figma and Jira.
• Strong Experience with Git.
• Able to manage a positive relationship with customers and coworkers.
• Able to communicate and deliver updates on projects in a timely manner.
• Able to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Able to take initiative and find areas of opportunity.
• React Native experience is a strong asset.
• Android and iOS experience is an asset.
• Additional knowledge of next.js is an asset.
• Additional knowledge of MySQL is an asset.
