Job Description:
Hive Media Group is looking for a Content Writer to join our team, writing for a portfolio of sites with over 6M Facebook followers. The ideal candidate will help create editorial content for brands focused on military history and vintage pop culture. Our ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and open to new ideas. This role is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a passion for positivity and digital publishing who wants to make an impact on a large and engaged digital community.

Responsibilities:

• Write original posts focused on a wide variety of topics
• Develop various content types, including long form articles, long form SEO articles, short-form engagement pieces,  mage articles quizzes, and news content
• Participate in daily and weekly feedback sessions
• Analyze trends and pitch new topics
• Revise published articles with new information when applicable
• Create engaging headlines and social thumb images
• Create content using our proprietary content management system

• Strong knowledge of and passion for historical events, military history (war, weaponry etc.), vintage pop culture and celebrities.
• Ability to quickly research and learn new areas of brand-related topics
• Can quickly develop stories from ideation through the final written word
• 1 year of high-volume digital media writing experience
• 1 year experience writing SEO-optimized content 
• Has an eye for attention-grabbing image selection that work on social media platforms
• Self-starter with ability to collaborate with team members and other departments in order to support brand growth
• Highly proficient in the English language, spelling, punctuation, and grammar 
• Is able to continuously meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
• Experience in Wordpress and on social media platforms an asset
