Position Summary

As part of the Consumer Marketing team, the Marketing Analyst will be responsible for driving business results for our primary web property, carfax.ca, through the development, execution, and analysis of data. This will include leading digital marketing analytics implementation as well as collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data within the CARFAX Canada digital ecosystem to deliver actionable insights and strategies to drive the business forward. This role will also work in partnership with our Research & Insights team to conduct consumer research and analyze data. This individual will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to provide insights to fuel strategic discussions and the implementation of data-driven recommendations by leveraging website analytics, search engine optimization (SEO) performance, heat maps, A/B testing, consumer research and personalization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leverage data, market insights, and analytical tools to identify new opportunities that enhance return on investment (ROI)
  • Analyze user behavior, cohorts, funnel analysis, and conversions to generate proactive insights that enhance business value and user experience
  • Communicate the effectiveness of new product launches, campaign launches, and site changes
  • Implement and maintain digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar)
  • Create and deliver presentations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative insights from surveys, user testing, interviews, and other research methods to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities that inform marketing strategy conversion
  • Supporting other research, insights, and analysis work as required
  • Stay up to date on the latest web analytics trends and technologies

Position Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience with digital analytics and measurement
  • 1-2 years of experience Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented with strong business acumen and foresight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence through data story telling
  • Skilled in compiling data from multiple sources and visualizing insights
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for conducting research, analyzing data, and turning results into action • Solid understanding of the digital analytics process from strategy to tagging/implementation to reporting
  • Experience in data collection architecture and design (Data Layer, Pixels, CDP, DMP, MDM, Website Governance and Compliance Technology)
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (A/B Testing and or Personalization) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with SEM Rush, Google Search Console, or other SEO tools is considered an asset.

Compensation

At CARFAX Canada, we believe in fair, transparent, and equitable compensation. This role has an annual salary range of $76,000.00 - $102,000.00 CAD. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
