The Project Management Assistant supports project delivery by organizing data, coordinating purchasing activities, and assisting with research and review of planning and design for Conservation Areas. The role works closely with the Project Manager to support visitor data collection, concept planning, and other project-related tasks as needed.
This role is contingent upon funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program, to be approved mid to late April 2026. Job offers will be made only upon confirmation of funding.
Responsibilities
Compile, organize, and maintain data and information to support current and future projects;
Support the collection of visitor data at Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, following established processes and guidelines;
Assist the Project Manager with obtaining quotes and coordinating purchasing activities;
Collaborate with the Project Manager to research Conservation Areas, including infrastructure, amenities, and visitor experiences;
Support the Project Manager with reviewing and organizing concept plans, blueprints, site plans, and related material;
Contribute to additional project-related tasks as needed to support team objectives.
Qualifications
This position is funded through Canada Summer Job Program; therefore candidates must meet the following criteria:
Must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
Post-secondary education or relevant experience in engineering, construction, parks and recreation, project management, or a related field;
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft 365 Suite;
Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats;
Ability to work independently with guidance as needed, and collaboratively as part of a small team.
