This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term May-August. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University.
This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.

We are looking for a Operational Risk & Resilience Student to join the Lifeco Operational Risk & Resilience Management team. This 4-month opportunity is ideal for a motivated and analytical student interested in gaining hands-on experience in enterprise-level risk management.
In this role, you will support key operational risk, resilience, and oversight activities, contribute to regulatory readiness efforts, enhance data and reporting processes, and participate in continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen the organization’s overall risk practices.
What You’ll Do
- Support operational risk and resilience programs by enhancing processes, documentation, and reporting
- Assist with data analysis, consolidation, and preparation of materials that inform oversight and decision-making
- Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve risk practices and increase consistency across teams
- Participate in research, drafting, and organizing information to support internal guidance, frameworks, and resources
- Help maintain and improve data quality through updates, reviews, and structured cleanup activities across risk and resilience programs
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to build working relationships and gain insight into enterprise risk practices
- Lead or co-lead a student project that addresses an identified team need, with mentorship from the Operational Risk & Resilience team
What You Bring
- Currently in your second year or higher, pursuing a degree in business, risk management, data analytics, technology, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce clear, meaningful outputs
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across teams
- Interest in areas such as operational risk, business continuity, third-party risk, cybersecurity, or resilience
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset

The base salary for this position is between $41,100 - $61,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.
