Job Summary 

The Account Executive - Vendor Services role is responsible for managing, maintaining and growing a book of business. This is achieved through maintaining consistent service level, driving utilization and consumption of membership entitlements, uncovering out of cycle growth opportunities, generating new business and optimizing membership service levels on existing contracts. They will develop a territory, account growth and service plan that proactively ensures the maximum number of accounts renew their contracts.  They will be responsible for managing clients with various memberships and entitlements.   
 
They will partner with their members to understand their challenges, uncover opportunities, and match them with our services to support key initiatives within their sales, marketing and product departments. 

The Account Executive - Vendor Services may also manage a small book of prospecting accounts depending upon their book size.  

Major Responsibilities 

  • Manage a book of Info-Tech/Vendor Services members who are all technology/software providers.  
  • Partner with your members to understand their needs to match them to our services and ensure they receive value through regular feedback. 
  • Build key initiative plans focused on our members core projects, and support matching available Research & Advisory services to drive success for both our clients and Info-Tech/SoftwareReviews. 
  • Manage interactions between our members and Info-Tech & SoftwareReviews analysts. 
  • Build relationships and engage with key stakeholders within each member organization.  
  • Driving high utilization of current products, working collaboratively with members to uncover ways to leverage SoftwareReviews collateral & services. 
  • Building strategic account plans to maximize current account spend and memberships and uncover additional opportunities by leveraging relationships.  
  • Identify issues regarding customer success and renewal, and work with internal teams to develop and execute an action plan. 
  • Ensure members are accurately represented on Info-Tech and SoftwareReviews in our bi-annual category reports.  
  • Record client details and account notes in CRM system - Follow internal reporting processes. 

 Education and Experience 

  • Post-secondary education – Minimum College Diploma 
  • 2-5 years B2B sales 
  • 2-5 Years of experience in customer success or account management within a fast paced work environment.

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to assimilate complex information and communicate this in a simple way. 
  • Internal and external communication: Understand value proposition and communicate to member in a clear, concise manner. Understand clients’ needs/requests and be able to say it back to them/find analyst to support them. 
  • Planning and Organization: Set daily schedules, plan territory, setting plans for account growth 
  • Time Management: Managing the member lifecycle; scheduling calls; able to prioritize tasks appropriately 
  • Goal Setting: Sets own goals around conversations that demonstrates a commitment to professional development; takes ownership of own performance; manage goal attainment; able to set reasonable goals; monitor progress and communicate/ask for help when off pace for goal attainment. 
  • Active Listening: Able to identify client needs; asks great questions & listens.
