Job Description:

This role will report to the Senior Manager and accept work assignments from the Pod Product Owner (PO) within the Product Group of the HR Platforms product family. Provide specialized business application and system management guidance and support for learning management (SumTotal and Thrive). Responsible for requirements gathering through the application lifecycle, business testing and supports business process documentation and user support of the application. 

 

Produce system requirements in alignment with standards and frameworks.  Work in close partnership with various partners and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage functional and non-functional requirements. 

 

 

CUSTOMER 

  • Work with Learning team Business Partners and Vendors to gather and refine business requirements (understand goal, scope, and priorities) 

  • Top notch communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) 

  • Strong ability to build relationships and works well with others 

  • Strong knowledge of Features, Epics and ensure to capture User stories, and research potential solutions, design and configure Vendor tools (TD Thrive, Degreed and SumTotal) to best meet business requirements.  

  • Support BAU/ Config testing required for all initiatives as needed and major initiatives as defined by the bank's initiative delivery methodology: 

  • System Integration Test (SIT), execution and utilization of documentation.  

  • Business Acceptance Test (BAT), execution and utilization of documentation.  

  • UAT testing for initiatives and/or release maintenance. 

  • PAT knowledge 

  • Responsible for business process documentation for all business applications owned/managed. 

  • Provide BAU support: assist with incoming Intakes and break-fix issues  

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations process management to ensure consistency, provide Tiers 2 and 3 support for Thrive issues. Identify actions, workarounds, and/or required configuration changes to resolve or address issues.  

  • Act as an escalation point for application and operation issues both directly and through internal/external business partners (including external vendors) 

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of how the Workday Recruiting platform supports and enables business processes underlying the full recruiting / talent acquisition life cycle.

  • Adhere to existing processes/standards including requirements management technology delivery practices and standards, and business technology architecture, escalating issues as required? 

  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technology trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery 

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services 

  • May support change management planning and activities, including those that ensure operational readiness. 

  • Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities. 

  • May support the development of business cases including benefits identification, RFI/RFP and service level agreements with vendors/suppliers consistent with technology requirements/guidelines 

  • Adhere to the TD code of conduct

BREADTH & DEPTH: 

  • Sound knowledge of system analysis process and techniques 

  • Sound knowledge of systems and applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules. 

  • Sound knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise including design, development, testing and delivery frameworks 

  • Basic understanding of business supported 

  • Leads system requirements management for low to moderate complexity/risk initiatives in alignment with strategies 

  • Identifies risks and impediments and leads problem resolution for minor issues 

  • Supports the identification, maintenance, and reporting of traceability of system requirements 

  • Work performed under guidance and supervision 

  • Reports to a Manager or Practice Lead 

 

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION 

  • Leverage specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to have a thorough understanding of the business, product, and vision; provide business-technology interaction subject matter expertise as well as recognize and drive the focus toward business value. 

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Workday (WD) platform (HCM) and have working knowledge of WD business processes and security. 

  • Workday configuration experience. Participate in complex applications and systems development. 

  • Strong LMS knowledge and experience: Degreed, SumTotal and Thrive configuration. 

  • Integration knowledge and experience which includes working with Vendors (i.e. form layouts, associated fields and data, transfer protocols (SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS), authentication connectivity SSO (OIDC, SAML) and data transmissions (JSON, XML/ SOAP). 

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate 

  • 2-3 years relevant experience in providing front-end (config) and back-end solutioning  

  • Experience working in a Waterfall environment – can lead the start and complete requirements package. (high-level & detailed requirements also utilized for user stories, sys to sys documentation, data flows, etc.) 

  • Experience working in an Agile Delivery (Scrum and Kanban), accustomed to Epics, Features and User Stories  

  • Experience with the following tools: JIRA and Confluence 

  • Knowledge of JTMF (Jira Test Management Framework)
