The RPA Business Analyst plays a key role in driving automation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and support scalable growth across StarTech.com. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, this role focuses on understanding processes, identifying automation opportunities, and delivering solutions that create real business impact.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze workflows, define requirements, and support the design and implementation of RPA solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving complex problems, and translating business needs into practical, technology-driven outcomes.
You will help shape automation initiatives from discovery through delivery, ensuring solutions are aligned with business priorities, financially viable, and built to scale.
This is a new opportunity within the Business Intelligence and CRM team.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Opportunity Identification & Assessment
- Partner with business units to identify high-value automation opportunities.
Conduct feasibility assessments including ROI, risk, and impact analysis.
Prioritize initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives. - Process Discovery & Optimization
- Lead discovery workshops to document current-state processes.
Create detailed process maps, data flows, and functional requirements.
Redesign processes for efficiency and standardization prior to automation. - Requirements & Solution Design
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
Collaborate with RPA developers to design scalable and maintainable automation solutions.
Ensure governance, security, and compliance standards are met. - Implementation, Testing & Deployment
- Coordinate development timelines and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate automation outcomes against business intent and KPIs.
Support production deployment and post-launch stabilization. - Continuous Improvement & Program Governance
- Monitor bot performance, identify enhancement opportunities, and manage lifecycle updates.
Maintain documentation standards and automation governance framework.
Track and report automation benefits including cost savings and cycle time reduction.
Relationships & Communication
- Key internal stakeholders include Process Owners, Functional Leads, IT Developers, Data Governance teams, and Executive Leadership.
- The role requires strong facilitation, influence, and communication skills to translate between technical and non-technical audiences. Confidential operational and system data is regularly handled.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or Automation.
- Experience working with RPA platforms (Power Automate preferred).
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP), Agile, or RPA is considered an asset.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the RPA lifecycle and automation best practices.
- Advanced process mapping and requirements documentation skills.
- Experience with enterprise systems (ERP/CRM – Dynamics 365 preferred).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of APIs, SQL, and integrations is an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

What we offer:
