Job Description

We’re looking for a 3D modeler with a passion for immersive VR gaming and a strong understanding of performance-optimized asset creation, real-time pipelines, and interactive design for next-generation virtual reality experiences.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Create high and low poly, game-ready models from concept art

  • Efficiently retop sculpts and optimize them for VR gameplay

  • Generate a comprehensive range of textures including Albedo, Metallic, Glossiness, Occlusion, Emission and baked Normal maps

  • Import models into Unity to check them for quality and performance

  • Stay up to date with current and future graphic software and hardware trends and methodologies

  • Maintain a balance between the project's creative vision and technical constraints
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid experience as a 3d Modeler, ideally on AAA or AA productions, ideally on a virtual reality game

  • You have strong technical skills in 3d model optimization, and workflow

  • You are proficient in 3D modeling/texturing software including Blender, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marmoset, etc.

  • You have significant experience with the Unity game engine and a comprehensive understanding of realistic art workflows and pipelines

  • You are versatile, with a solid understanding of world-building challenges, strong synthesis skills, and excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to work effectively in a team and communicate your ideas

  • Experience with node-based visual scripting languages is a plus
