Are you an early-career Human Resources (HR) professional or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience? Join our team as an HR Coordinator on a 12-month contract. This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of HR functions.
Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR team. The HR Coordinator will consult and collaborate with our HR Business Partners (HRBPs), providing administrative support to help ensure smooth and efficient HR service delivery across departments. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to full-cycle HR in a dynamic, fast-paced environment!
Position Responsibilities
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and general questions, with consultation from HRBPs.
- Provide administrative support to HRBPs and HR Director as needed.
- Providing recruitment support to HRBPs such as screening resumes, screening candidates, preparing interview guides, and scheduling interviews.
- Provide assistance with new hire onboarding and orientation process.
- Maintain and update HR systems and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Organize and manage employee files, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
- Prepare HR-related reports, documents, employment letters, agreements, and communications as needed.
- Assist with compliance tracking and audit preparation.
- Identify, coordinate and attend job fairs and tech events.
- Perform other administrative duties and various project work as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Recognized post-secondary diploma in Human Resources Management, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in HR administration; internship or co-op experience is considered an asset.
- CHRP certification or intent to pursue is an asset.
- Familiarity with employment standards and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion and attention to detail in handing confidential HR data and documentation.
- Proactive learner with continuous improvement mindset and willingness to support diverse HR functions.
