Reporting to the Quality Control Team Leader, Trojan Technologies, the Quality Control Technician develops and implements testing, sampling and inspection procedures on raw materials, equipment, in-process materials, and/or finished products to ensure that product specifications and company and regulatory requirements are met. Investigates and troubleshoots functionality and performance problems. Recommends corrective action when appropriate. May monitor and execute on-site equipment and tools calibration.

This onsite technician role will be part of Quality and Regulatory Affairs and is based in London, Ontario.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Continually improve the customer experience by driving continuous improvement activities through the use of daily management and our defined quality processes.
  • Perform visual/operational evaluation and document findings of returned field components & assemblies
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to effectively perform product evaluation and classification of returned product
  • Support the Service Department by providing timely feedback on returns, when requested
  • Provide effective input to adjudication of warranty claims
  • Support the Quality Assurance Specialists, Service Dept. and Engineering Dept. in identifying product quality/reliability improvement opportunities
  • Work with product suppliers to obtain return approval and product credit, where applicable
  • Perform basic statistical analysis to identify quality and reliability trends
  • Execute gauge and calibration process; notification of calibration requirements, calibration scheduling and arrangements.
  • Provide support to the part qualification process

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Diploma or degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and regulatory standards
  • Strong metrology/GD&T skills (CMM experience considered an asset)
  • ASQ-Certified Quality Technician/Engineer preferred (or working towards)
  • Able to create concise technical reports and summaries

The base salary range for this role is $58k-$62k CAD annually. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market
