The IT department at Ivey Business School plays a pivotal role in shaping the institution's technological landscape, constantly engaging in exciting and innovative activities. Our IT professionals are at the forefront of ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have access to the best technologies and services. They create and maintain advanced educational platforms, enabling remote and hybrid learning, while also enhancing in-person classroom experiences through interactive tools and digital resources. In line with this spirit of progress, Ivey Business School is in the process of expanding its IT team and is actively seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our innovative ranks, driving our technological journey forward.
Position Overview
The Salesforce Administer helps to improve business practices across Ivey Business School through configuration, support, training, maintenance and improvement of Ivey’s Salesforce platform. They partner with various departments throughout the school to improve operational efficiency, and deliver a positive customer and user experience. This role requires a detail-oriented, collaborative, solutions-focused Salesforce expert as the Salesforce Administrator empowers the Ivey Salesforce Community to leverage Salesforce to its full potential.
Responsibilities:
Support Salesforce System and Users
- Provide day-to-day Salesforce support which includes user support and training.
- Respond to requests as quickly and efficiently as possible, keeping appropriate stakeholders engaged, informed and up to date on requests.
- Ensure transparency in all communications with stakeholders.
- Track, review and resolve tickets/requests in a timely fashion.
Salesforce Systems Administration
- Maintain and create Salesforce profiles, roles, sharing rules, workflows, users and security settings, etc.
- Support data and data integrity across multiple Salesforce orgs within the School.
- Support dashboard and report creation, enhancements and training. Develop, create and maintain dashboards and reports based on business units requirements.
- Evaluate and review new Salesforce releases (3 per year) and communicate possible impacts to the Ivey Community.
- Create and maintain objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows, flows and processes.
- Support and maintain third party apps that integrate with Salesforce (ex. FormAssembly).
- Contribute to the growing Salesforce knowledge base by proactively creating and updating documentaiton for processes and system changes.
- Maintain an understanding of all business processes and users in the system to ensure
all solutions work towards the desired end goal.
- Actively participate in Salesforce change management including documentation and training for Salesforce users on new features.
- Evaluate and recommend new AppExchange apps, plug-ins and related tools.
- Research, diagnose and evaluate the existing orgs, looking for performance and process improvements for all aspects of the business.
- Develop appropriate test plan during change management.
Project Support
- Contribute to the implementation of prioritized projects by designing, developing and configuring customized solutions using the full Salesforce toolset. This includes custom reports, objects and fields, validation rules, workflows, etc.
- Develop training to Salesforce users and implement best practices to support and increase user adoption.
- Involved in final acceptance testing, training and documentation of new features and applications.
- Create and utilize appropriate test plans for units of work and verify with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- University Degree or College Diploma in a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Salesforce support and/or administration
- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning Interface
- Experience with EDA is an asset
- Experience with FormAssembly is an asset
- Experience with data migration and integration
