?? Why this role matters
The Canada Service Bench Lead is a senior technical and leadership role within our Bench Repair Center. You’ll guide technicians, support operational excellence, and ensure every repair meets the high standards our customers rely on. Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction, team performance, and the reliability of essential water quality solutions.
This role reports to the Sr. Field Service Manager, Canada, and is based onsite in London, Ontario.
This position follows a 4-day workweek schedule, offering better work–life balance while maintaining high operational performance.
?? What you’ll do
Lead daily bench operations to consistently meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
Set daily and weekly priorities, assign tasks, and balance workloads based on demand and technician skillsets.
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and workflow coordination for junior technicians.
Act as the representative for the Bench Manager when needed.
Serve as the first point of escalation for technical, workflow, and customer-impacting issues.
Ensure adherence to standard work, documented procedures, and compliance requirements.
Support onboarding, training, and cross-training to build a flexible, capable team.
Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using established lean tools.
Communicate priorities, expectations, and updates clearly across technicians and partners.
?? What you bring
Technologist or technician diploma, ideally instrumentation technician, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a technical repair, manufacturing, or service environment.
1+ year of experience leading or supervising technicians or operators.
Ability to travel to the US is a strong requirement.
Experience with ServiceMax or Salesforce (report development, data input, analysis, dashboards) is preferred.
Background in parts and consumables inventory management.
Lean manufacturing experience (Kaizen, Kanban, root cause analysis, countermeasures, daily management) is a strong plus.
The base salary range for this role is $36/43 CAD hour annually. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market.
