Position Overview:
The Manager, Marketing reports to the Executive Director, Ivey Online, in the Dean’s Office, while working in close collaboration with the EdTech team at the Ivey Business School Foundation. You are a strategic and creative marketing professional with a passion for digital engagement and storytelling. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are energized by the opportunity to build something new. With a strong foundation in full-stack marketing and a flair for media production, you bring both analytical thinking and artistic vision to your work.
You are comfortable managing complex campaigns, working across departments, and juggling multiple priorities. You understand the nuances of marketing in a higher education context and are excited to help Ivey Online reach learners around the world. You are naturally curious and committed to staying ahead of the curve—regularly exploring new tools, trends, and technologies in marketing and design to elevate your work and inspire innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, Manage, & Evaluate Campaigns
- Plan and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote Ivey Online’s portfolio of online and cohort-based programs, using a mix of digital advertising, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
- Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment across digital, content, events, and traditional marketing.
- Build and manage automated drip campaigns in Pardot, including segmentation, content sequencing, and performance tracking to nurture leads through the funnel.
- Analyze campaign performance using Pardot, Google Analytics, and other tools to assess ROI, optimize targeting, and inform future strategy.
- Develop persuasive sales presentations and pitch decks for use in roadshows, conferences, and partner meetings.
- Collaborate with Ivey’s central marketing team and external agencies to ensure all campaigns align with Ivey’s brand standards and strategic goals.
- Create and maintain a suite of marketing collateral including brochures, one-pagers, and digital assets tailored to different learner segments.
- Maintain and update the Ivey Online website, ensuring timely publication of new programs, faculty profiles, and learner testimonials.
- Coordinate with Ivey Executive Education to ensure consistent messaging and cross-promotion of offerings across the Ivey Executive Education website.
- Produce & Manage Media Assets
- Design and produce high-quality multimedia content—including promotional videos, course trailers, animations, and branded graphics—for use across digital channels and within course environments.
- Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers (LEDs) and the CTS team to storyboard, film, and edit instructional videos and learner engagement content.
- Develop motion graphics and animated assets for social media, email campaigns, and course intros/outros, ensuring all content is optimized for accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Manage the post-production process, including editing, sound design, captioning, and versioning for different platforms and audiences.
- Ensure all media assets adhere to Ivey’s visual identity and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).
- Social Media & Community Engagement
- Develop and implement social media strategies to build awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads for Ivey Online programs.
- Create and schedule content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), including graphics, video clips, and written posts.
- Monitor social media analytics to evaluate performance, identify trends, and adjust content strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to amplify reach and ensure consistent messaging.
- Service Delivery & Communication
- Track and report on campaign performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and cost-per-acquisition, using Pardot and other analytics tools.
- Engage with industry partners, associations, and potential collaborators to explore co-marketing opportunities and expand Ivey Online’s reach.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure alignment between marketing activities and enrollment operations, sharing data and insights to support forecasting and planning.
- Maintain dashboards and reports to monitor campaign health and inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media production, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, ideally within higher education, digital learning, or a creative agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing digital marketing campaigns, including email automation, paid media, and content strategy.
- Proven track record in conversion optimization (CRO), paid media, and lead generation.
- Hands-on experience producing multimedia content, including video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
- Experience working with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and content management systems.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills using the latest video and graphic design technology.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, PPC, social media, and lead generation.
- Proficiency in analyzing marketing performance data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams, including faculty, designers, and external partners.
- A commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and continuous learning in digital content and marketing practices.
- Enthusiasm for staying up to date with current marketing trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies in media production and digital engagement.
