ASICS Running Apps – Senior Product Manager
(Full time)Kihachiro Onitsuka founded ASICS in 1949 to realize his desire to nurture the youth of Japan through sports and contribute to the development of society. Our founding philosophy, “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano (A Sound Mind in a Sound Body)”, represents our wish for people all over the world to live healthful and happy lives in both body and mind.
The ASICS brand is especially well known for its connection to running and for producing extremely high-quality running shoes. To strengthen our commitment to runners, we are expanding our investment in running-related digital services, i.e. running event technology (Race Roster™), AI run-coaching apps (the ASICS Runkeeper™ app), and other exciting platforms that will help us better serve the running industry.
Our mission?in the past, today, and into the future?is to contribute to a healthful and sustainable society and to bring joy to the people of the world through sports. Sports are an important element in living longer healthy lives, in feeling more fulfilled, and in crossing national and cultural boundaries to bring the world together. If you are looking to join a fun and innovative company focused on the booming digital health and fitness industry, this is the place for you!

- Collaborating with engineering to define technical requirements and scope user stories for a given feature
- Maintaining the product backlog with a prioritized list of clearly defined user stories that include both technical and analytics requirements
- Leading agile scrum ceremonies for team(s), ensuring that the priorities of the team and purpose of their work are clearly communicated during grooming, sprint planning and (when necessary) standups
- Being present in the team’s day to day operations to ensure that their questions are answered and blockers are removed
- Develop artifacts required to justify the business case and plan for launching, updating, or deprecating a given feature and present these artifacts to stakeholders (to include senior executives) across ASICS – artifacts include but are not limited to:
- Quantitative analysis of opportunity size and business impact
- Powerpoint deck detailing strategic reasoning for decision
- Detailed project plans
- Monitor and report on performance of new feature launches against key user and business metrics related to that feature
- Collaborate with the director of product to design and implement efficient, scalable processes and templates that drive execution, communication, and alignment across the product teams and other Runkeeper and ASICS functions (e.g. marketing)
- Inform product strategy and planning through deep market and user research and requirements gathering across the larger ASICS business
- Manage and train one or more junior product direct reports
- Inspire commitment, high energy, and positive attitudes across the Runkeeper team
- Lead the Runkeeper Product team in diversity and inclusion initiatives focusing on culture and processes at a team level to be in sync with the organization

- Basic familiarity with and experience running A/B tests, and analyzing results for statistical significance
- Proven ability to develop strategic plans, communicate and receive buy-in from senior stakeholders, and develop an execution plan for agreed-upon deliverables
