Senior Accountant - Limited Term

Autodata is looking for a Senior Accountant on a limited term basis (6 - 9 months) to join our London Office. 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will hold a recognized accounting designation with a minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.  The candidate will be comfortable working in a challenging, fast paced environment in a growing company. Responsibilities will include analysis, ad hoc projects, assistance with month and year end processes, and management over certain accounting processes.

Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to assigned accounting areas
• Generation and maintenance of analysis and reports
• Independently lead and complete ad hoc projects
• Involvement in financial reporting and/or management reporting and analysis
• Independently prepare and/or review journal entries and monthly reconciliations
• Assist with the month end close process as applicable to assigned accounting areas
• Provides recommendations and implements improvements to finance/business process
• Independently assist with annual audit requests; and
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, reporting and internal controls, including compliance with appropriate GAAP standards
• General knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Solid ability to assess, design and document processes
• Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Ability to review, analyze and evaluate information within tight deadlines

Qualifications:

• University degree or College diploma in Accounting / Business
• Achieved a professional accounting designation (CPA)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ accounting experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Office suite.  Particular expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) required
• Experience with financial systems such as Microsoft NAV is beneficial
• Experience with analysis, metrics & reporting is preferred
• Outstanding written, oral communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, projects and tasks simultaneously
• Must be self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to the company’s changing needs
