Job Summary

Join us as a Digital Merchandising Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing StarTech.com’s awareness and conversion in digital channels for a portfolio of resellers and products. In this role, your mission will be to increase customers, transactions and ultimately market share vs. competitors across resellers platforms.

You’ll drive growth by managing the health of our listings and improve outcomes by optimizing key merchandising levers. You will leverage experimentation to improve awareness and conversion through search, pricing, content and more. You will leverage your analytical skillset to review sales performance to find insights, opportunities and mitigate risks in your portfolio. You will be able to convert quantitative data and qualitative assessments into a data-driven approach to build a GTM plan aimed at growing customers and transactional revenue for the North American resellers in your book of business.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Product Assortment Management at resellers’ websites:
    • Optimize product assortment for resellers to ensure all or relevant products are listed.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal and external, to optimize assortment with customer needs and strategic goals.
  • Merchandising Strategy and Execution:
    • Optimize merchandising levers to help drive brand awareness and conversion, such as keyword research optimization, pricing reviews, and content assessments.
  • Maintain foundational health and hygiene at partner websites:
    • Collaborate with data analytics team to track and improve hygiene factors that drive key outcomes.
    • Optimize pricing strategies – MSRP, margin stack, promotional pricing, and volume pricing.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis:
    • Conduct competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities in your book of business.
    • Assess brand positioning and create GTM plans to increase share of customers vs. competitors.
  • Marketing & Promotions:
    • Keen awareness of market trends to help drive marketing plans at key resellers.
    • Work cross functionally with marketing to develop and execute on marketing plans to increase awareness at resellers.
    • Monitor and adjust advertising campaigns based on performance metrics and market trends.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Prepare data for regular business reviews and track key performance indicators.
    • Utilize data to drive insights to adjust strategies and priorities as needed.
  • Continuous Learning and Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate on experimentation and testing for insights.
    • Build systems and processes for effective operations.
       

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in digital merchandising, product management or marketing.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in sales, competitive, and market analysis.
  • Accountability: Proven success in optimizing conversion rate, increasing market share and in driving brand awareness.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in ecommerce platforms, CMS, and merchandising tools.
  • Customer Insight: Strong understanding of customer segmentation.
  • Forecasting: Experience with forecasting and activity funnels.
  • Testing: Skilled with A/B testing, personalization, and segmentation.
  • SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization.
  • Advertising: Experience with advertising/promotions and their impact.
  • Communication: Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Revenue Growth: Experience in growing revenue while managing profitability.
  • Analytical and Technical Tools: Expertise with using Excel, Power BI (or other visualization tools) to manipulate and build dashboards.
