Job Details
Reporting to the Development Team Lead, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing digital experiences on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). As an Intermediate AEM Developer, you will focus on implementing new features, custom components, and improving website performance using AEM's robust content management framework. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Content teams, to ensure that the website meets business needs while delivering a seamless and optimized user experience.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining AEM’s functionality and scalability, ensuring content is managed efficiently across different channels (web, mobile, etc.), and improving site performance. You will be responsible for integrating third-party systems, optimizing AEM workflows, and ensuring personalization and cross-channel publishing. Additionally, you will contribute to a collaborative and agile development environment, sharing knowledge with junior team members and mentoring them in their AEM development skills.
Key areas of influence will include optimizing performance, managing content workflows, implementing custom AEM solutions, and enhancing the digital experience to align with the company's goals.
Position Responsibilities
· Develop new features and functionality in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including custom components, templates, and workflows.
· Collaborate with the Product, Design and Marketing teams to implement new features, ensuring seamless integration with AEM.
· Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain AEM performance to ensure high efficiency and minimal downtime.
· Work with AEM's Sling, JCR, CRX repository, and Dispatcher for content management and caching.
· Develop and maintain front-end templates using AEM Sightly (HTL) or Java-based JSP for rendering dynamic content.
· Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party systems to extend AEM’s functionality.
· Implement AEM workflows, content personalization (targeting, A/B testing), and multi-site management features.
· Ensure cross-channel publishing from AEM to different platforms (web, mobile, etc.) with consistent UX/UI.
· Create and maintain documentation for AEM components, templates, and integration processes.
· Provide guidance to Junior Developers and Co-op students, reviewing code and conducting knowledge-sharing sessions.
· Participate in Agile sprint planning, provide accurate estimates, and track progress on development tasks.
Education and Experience Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
· 2-4 years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
· Proficiency in Java, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AEM templating technologies like Sightly (HTL) or JSP.
· Familiarity with AEM workflows, JCR repository, Sling, and Dispatcher.
· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong experience with AEM performance optimization, including caching, scalability, and multi-site management.
· Familiarity with RESTful API integrations and handling cross-channel publishing from AEM.
· Knowledge of SEO and web accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
· Experience with monitoring and optimizing the performance of the AEM instance to meet high traffic and scalability needs.
