Position Overview
This role is responsible for all product processes and personnel.  
As the Product Development Manager for the Race Roster Product team you will be responsible for all Race Roster product processes and personnel. Day to day, you will be responsible for the creation and management of Race Roster product development, including the execution and completion of projects. The role will require you to work hands on like a product manager would. This position requires flexibility as we respond to new business and customer requirements, while being able to quickly adapt to new strategies and priorities as they evolve.
This position is open to internal and external candidates.
Product Line 
This role will be working on/with the Race Roster product. 
Work Location
The successful candidate for this role can be either a satellite employee (working 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada). Or,  a hybrid employee (flexibility to work in the office or from home at a location within 75km/75 miles from the London, ON). 
Responsibilities
  • Create and manage Race Roster product processes by identifying gaps and leading improvement initiatives to ensure processes meet industry standards and supports the company’s goals
  • Consolidate cards that are related; what other wins can we incorporate into the scope
  • Inform the Race Roster Product department budget, working collaboratively to make decisions regarding vendors, software(s), and department workforce needs
  • Help manage the Race Roster design library 
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success and Sales team to complete market research via customer and employee feedback as well as competitor analysis. Utilize the market research findings to offer input and suggestions with insights on user flow
  • Work collaboratively with the Race Roster Development and Product leadership team to build effective teams to maximize project outcomes 
  • Work with with the Race Roster Development and Quality Assurance (QA) & LiveOps teams  to maintain a consistent throughput 
  • Advocate for and implement continuous improvement of Race Roster Product team and processes
  • Inform workforce requirements and growth and lead the hiring of the Race Roster Product team
  • Facilitate a collaborative environment on the Race Roster Product team
  • Provide support and guidance to the members of the Race Roster Product team, including the Product Managers, Product Designers, and Company Educator. Provide feedback in real time, informing employees of and upholding of corporate policies, industry best practice standards, and managing performance expectations 
  • Train new hires on the Race Roster Product team and provide coaching, training, and stretch assignments to all direct reports
  • You’ll be an advocate for the Race Roster Product team members in their professional development & career growth
  • Facilitate annual performance reviews for all direct reports, creating and maintain employee development documentation, including the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead the Race Roster Product team in diversity and inclusion initiatives focusing on 
Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of previous leadership experience 
  • 3+ years experience in digital product
  • Sound knowledge and experience in product management and design best practices
  • Proven ability to lead successful product projects from inception to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to design a strong user experience (user research, testing, prototyping)

The successful candidate for this role will become an employee of Race Roster North America Corporation (doing business as ASICS Apps Canada), a subsidiary of ASICS Corporation, a Japanese multinational corporation. Race Roster was founded in London, Ontario in 2011.
