Senior Financial Analyst- REMOTE 

 

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for performing analysis, building models, writing reports, and providing actionable insights to the corporate leadership team. Given the rapid and exciting sales growth at Info-Tech Research Group, there is a focus on data-supported decision making that accelerates sales growth while protecting profit margins.

This is a project-based role that requires critical thinking, concise communication, and the ability to juggle shifting priorities. The role requires you to take on large and complex requirements, source data from multiple systems, and work in a self-directed manner to inform and solve financial and business problems. 

 We’re looking for a well-rounded individual with sound judgement, financial analysis and project management skills, and the ability to lead meetings and collaborate with executives across the entire company. The Senior Financial Analyst will be evaluated on their ability to produce high quality, data-driven insights, as well as to execute projects effectively and improve processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and track key performance indicators and financial metrics to measure the success of business initiatives.
  • Create dashboards and reports for corporate leadership with clearly defined and consistently applied performance metrics.
  • Design and deploy improvements to the budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting systems.
  • Build out reporting and costing systems that provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the organization's financial workflows, systems, and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to deploy improvements to financial software or systems.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities and best practices.

Education & Experience

  • University degree in accounting and/or business
  • CPA designation required
  • 5-10 years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate finance

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and providing recommendations
  • Strong communication written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft office Suite's PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is an asset

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelor's degree or better in Accounting or related field.
