Product Developer

Reporting directly to the CTO, this Full Stack Developer will be a lead in Morphio’s product build. We are looking for a bit of a different developer. The right candidate will be someone that is great at communicating across various staff levels and skill sets.This would include collaborating with business leaders and product strategists on how to best implement and bring to life user-centric solutions for Morphio customers. This role will be a lead in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing the technical performance of various features. The Full Stack Developer may periodically also be responsible for updates to Morphio’s marketing website.

Specific Duties

• Build, test, and support the development of web software applications 
• Responsible for both the back and front end development, deployment, and support of software components for products and services
• Collaborate across teams and disciplines to identify and resolve issues; and review and complete projects
• Be proactive: find and address areas of technical concern
• Contribute to team discussions for scoping & estimating product priorities
• Participate and flex your experience clarifying stakeholder requirements
• Contribute to code reviews
• Research and prototype solutions
• Develop an understanding of our business and its processes in order to enhance the quality of our solutions
• Promote the use of design patterns and best practices 
• Promotes extensibility and reusability in application design and coding

Candidate Criteria 

• Diploma or degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a professional software development role
• Experience in the following areas:
• Node.js, React, Javascript, and SCSS.
• Connecting with and maintaining API connections (OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol)
• Server set-up and optimization (ideally familiar with Kubernetes)
• Familiar with WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields for content management
