What You’ll Do 

As a Senior Consultant at Info-Tech Research Group, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact consulting engagements across a diverse range of projects. These may include project assurance, strategic planning, benchmarking, and both business and technical assessments. Your work will focus on addressing complex, strategic challenges and delivering innovative, results-driven solutions that create measurable value for our clients. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with small teams on multiple concurrent projects, gaining exposure to a wide variety of industries and business issues. You’ll also contribute to the growth of our practice by developing intellectual capital and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities 

Project Delivery 

  • Lead and support the execution of consulting engagements across all project phases, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder alignment, and delivery of high-quality outcomes. 
  • Conduct comprehensive current-state and future-state assessments, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations tailored to client goals. 
  • Present insights, methodologies, and deliverables to IT and executive leadership, clearly articulating key trends, strategic implications, and value-driven outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with Managers and Directors to develop compelling client-facing materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, showcasing solutions and strategic roadmaps. 
  • Guide clients through best practices for pre- and post-project planning, including communication strategies and prioritization of action items based on Info-Tech research. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, sponsors, and project managers to ensure alignment and satisfaction throughout the engagement. 

Business Development 

  • Collaborate with business development teams and senior consulting team members to understand client needs and contribute to the creation of proposals, statements of work, and client presentations. 
  • Support the pursuit of new business opportunities by participating in qualification efforts, proposal development, and strategic client discussions. 
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for additional advisory services, workshops, and consulting engagements that align with client needs and strategic goals. 

Practice Development 

  • Partner with consulting practice leaders to support strategic planning and go-to-market initiatives that drive the growth of Info-Tech’s Consulting division. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and project delivery through the identification and implementation of best practices. 
  • Lead or support internal initiatives from inception to completion, helping to enhance operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration. 

 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management consulting role, with a proven track record of owning and delivering client-facing workstreams. 
  • Background in large, well-established consulting firms where you were exposed to rigorous training, structured problem-solving, and high standards of client delivery. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing consulting business, including crafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and writing Statements of Work. 
  • Strong client-facing skills with a history of building trusted relationships and delivering value in both delivery and business development contexts. 
  • Highly motivated, career-driven self-starters who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a growing practice. 
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. 
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with proficiency in developing executive-level presentations and reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all organizational levels and navigating complex client environments. 
  • Committed to delivery excellence, continuous learning, and contributing to the development of best practices within the consulting team. 

 

Core Consulting Skills 

  • Client Engagement & Facilitation: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients through effective communication—both virtually and in-person. Facilitate productive discussions, workshops, and meetings that drive alignment and clarity. 
  • Project & Program Management: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of consulting engagements, including budget oversight and timeline management. Navigate complex client dynamics, manage scope, and set clear expectations to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying client needs during engagements and supporting the development of tailored proposals and solutions. Engage in analyst calls and project work that help position Info-Tech’s services effectively. 
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic recommendations. Structure and lead problem-solving efforts for complex challenges, aligning outcomes with client goals and decision-making frameworks. 
  • Communication & Influence: Deliver clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations and reports. Communicate complex ideas in a way that resonates with diverse audiences, build consensus, and manage expectations with professionalism and tact. 
  • Executive Presence & Presentation Skills: Confidently engage with senior stakeholders and executive teams, demonstrating credibility, poise, and the ability to influence decision-making through thoughtful dialogue and impactful presentations. 
  • Business Strategy & Capability Development: Help clients design and implement strategies that accelerate operational and technical maturity. Bring innovative thinking to the development of new capabilities and transformation initiatives.
