Position Overview:
The Manager, Sales & Operations reports to the Executive Director, Ivey Online, in the Dean’s Office, while working in close collaboration with the EdTech team at the Ivey Business School Foundation. You are a hybrid thinker—equal parts strategist, technologist, and relationship builder. Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Ivey Online, ensuring seamless course delivery and minimal platform downtime.
- Oversee the onboarding, assignment, and performance of external Learning Managers; ensure alignment with course delivery standards.
- Automate workflows using Zapier to streamline enrollment, unenrollment, and reporting across systems (Salesforce, LMS, Shopify, Credly).
- Analyze enrollment data and generate reports to inform decision-making and improve learner experience.
- Coordinate cohort start and end dates; ensure accurate enrollment and access through the LMS.
- Troubleshoot enrollment and data sync issues; escalate complex problems to IT and the Executive Director as needed.
- Ensure the website, LMS, and CRM systems are integrated and functioning correctly.
- Respond to help desk inquiries and provide timely support to learners and internal teams.
Sales & Client Engagement
- Act as a key contact for prospective learners, providing guidance on course selection and purchasing.
- Promote Ivey Online offerings through email campaigns, events, and direct outreach.
- Represent Ivey Online at conferences and industry events to build awareness and generate leads.
- Collaborate with Ivey Executive Education and Ivey Publishing to develop bundled or co-sale opportunities.
- Use Salesforce to track engagement, analyze sales patterns, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Recommend product suggestions for marketing campaigns based on learner behavior and market trends.
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to operational workflows, communication processes, and learner support systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align course development and delivery.
- Contribute to the development of new sales strategies and bundled offerings.
Service Delivery & Communication
- Ensure operational feedback from Learning Managers is shared with Learning Designers to improve course quality.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Build consensus across departments to support new initiatives and product launches.
- Maintain high standards of service for both internal stakeholders and external learners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Accountability
- Work closely with IT, Marketing, and Finance to ensure system stability, campaign alignment, and accurate reporting.
- Independently manage daily priorities based on enrollment cycles, learner needs, and technical issues.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic planning while owning day-to-day execution.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in online course operations, sales, or client-facing roles—preferably in higher education.
- Experience promoting educational products through client engagement, data analysis, and creative marketing strategies is considered an asset.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), LMS platforms, and automation tools like Zapier.
- Ability to manage data flows across systems like Shopify, Salesforce, and the LMS.
- Familiarity with digital credentialing (e.g., Credly) and online purchasing workflows is an asset.

- Strategic thinker who is able to stay abreast of industry trends, recognizing the bigger picture and connecting that to Ivey Online.

- Experience with help desk support and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple systems and ensure seamless learner experiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage clients, faculty, and internal teams.
- Sales-oriented mindset with experience in promoting and selling educational products.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decisions and improvements.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel may be required: have a valid passport and driver's license.
