Position Overview

As a Copywriter & Email Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for helping ASICS Apps bring our work to the next level of creative excellence. You will be relied upon to bring strategic chops and write engaging communications to advance our brand strategy. Day to day, you will work closely with the Marketing team (referred to internally as the Digital Activation team) to refine the identity of our digital services as brands that create meaningful products and experiences that keep the world moving. This position requires flexibility as we respond to new business and customer requirements, while being able to quickly adapt to new strategies and priorities as they evolve.

This position is open to internal and external candidates.

Product Line 

This role will be working with the Runkeeper product.

Work Location

The successful candidate for this role can be either a satellite employee (working 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada or US), Or, a hybrid employee (flexibility to work in the office or from home at a location within 75km/75 miles from the London, ON/Boston, MA office).

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the conception and creation of marketing content for Runkeeper 
  • Write and rewrite short form copy for the web, social, digital, and beyond translating business strategy into compelling copy
  • Build the ASICS Apps community through brand voice, creative execution and the collaborative development of strategy 
  • Editing and proofreading communication and content for accuracy, spelling, grammar, style consistency, tone, flow, comprehension and format
  • Present ideas to and implement feedback received from stakeholders ensuring their needs are met with Runkeeper brand guidelines, strategy and evolution
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team (referred to internally as the Digital Activation team) and offer innovative ideas for creative strategy 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
  • Staying on top of industry and technology trends
  • Lead the build out and writing of incoming email requests for ASICS regional partners
  • Schedule and deploy emails for evergreen content, campaigns and ad-hoc requests
  • Report on email engagement metrics and campaign performance 
  • Meaningfully participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives across the ASICS Apps teams

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a copywriter in an in-house or external agency setting  
  • Experience with digital creative across platforms, with examples in your portfolio  
  • A strong aptitude for collaboration (with designers and other creatives as well as internal stakeholders and marketing partners) and the ability to use feedback as fuel to make your work better 
  • Impeccable grammar and editing skills 
  • Presentation chops—you know how to sell your work and influence stakeholders  
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills (experience with ASANA or other creative project management tools a strong plus) 
  • A degree in English, communications, advertising or similar

Bonus Experience

  • Experience at a fitness or digital e-commerce brand a plus
