Intermediate / Senior 3D Environment Artist

Does your perfect working environment involve creating perfect playing                             environments?
Then pencil in Joydrop as the place to apply! We are seeking an experienced 3D Artist to mold, construct, and world build (literally!) the environment in our latest game IP. Though preferably a full-time position, we’ll consider other options for the right talent. If you have at least several years of video game art experience, have been around the pipeline a couple times, and possess knowledge of the Unreal Engine, keep reading!

Job Responsibilities
? Create compelling, high-quality 3D environment assets through the use of props, hard surfaces, effects, lighting, textures, settings, and foliage 
? Work closely with production and art teams to maintain the consistency of the overall 3D art style
? Collaborate with art team to design and craft detailed and exciting game environments in Unreal Engine
? Modify environments for differing purposes like cutscenes, trailers, and promotional materials
? Create and add visuals that support the level design, gameplay, and narrative story.
? Complete tasks in accordance with art direction, technical constraints, and production deadlines

Required Skills and Experience
? 2+ years (intermediate) or 3+ years (senior) of full-time experience creating environments for video games
? 1.5+ years with Unreal Engine
? Strong understanding of next generation asset creation pipelines in engines like UE4/5 or Unity
? Demonstrated proficiency in organic and hard surface modeling techniques with a focus on stylized content
? Good technical background
? Excellent understanding of light, shade, color, and detail
? Self-motivation, superior communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
? Problem-solving / prototyping within a game dev team
? Able to effectively collaborate with artists, game designers, and programmers
? Ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly
? Fully fluent in professional English, both verbal and written
