SANITATION EMPLOYEE

We are currently seeking a dedicated and hard-working Sanitation Employee who will be responsible for the full cycle sanitation process while maintaining quality and safety standards to ensure the health and safety of Aspire and its customers. This is a labour-intensive position that requires individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time. This role is located in London, Ontario and reports to the Operations Supervisor.

SHIFT STRUCTURE

The role will be required to work 8 hour night shifts, Sunday night to Friday morning.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER

  • Promote a Health and Safety, Food Safety and GMP Culture by adhering to company standards at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment and facility, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area at all times; ensure equipment is cleaned according to manufacturer guidelines and internal SSOP’s, includes the disassembly and reassembly of equipment.
  • Lead Operation Employees in the cleaning and sanitizing of plant and equipment.
  • Utilize mobile floor cleaning equipment and lifting devices when required.
  • Identify, investigate and report equipment deviations and malfunctions to the Leadership team.
  • Precisely collect and maintain cleaning records for reporting and tracking, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Willingness to complete additional skills training as needed, including but not limited to working at heights, power lifts, cleaning and sanitation tools and equipment, etc.
  • Set a positive example by complying at all times with Health and Safety and Quality and Food Safety policies.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • A minimum of 1 year of sanitation experience; food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of safe chemical handling, HACCP and GMP procedures, and allergens.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team, in a fast paced environment; collaboration skills, as well as the ability to influence others.
  • Solid time management capabilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute deliverables.
  • Willing and able to follow specific instructions and perform repetitive tasks with minimal supervision.
  • You possess basic mathematical, verbal and written communication and reading skills, and possess rudimentary computer/tablet skills required.
