As we continue to grow our team, we are seeking a full-time Data Analyst-Infrastructure & GIS to join our consulting team. 

 

Role Description

The successful candidate will provide tactical support for the organization by collecting, integrating, and manipulating client supplied infrastructure, financial and/or GIS data within the organization’s proprietary databases and analytical modeling tools. Direct communication with clients, providing support and training, will also be required. This person will be able to demonstrate skills related to accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to complete time sensitive confidential client data and configuration projects.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze, leverage and manipulate significant amounts of client infrastructure and GIS data with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop and recommend a data implementation strategy according to system requirements, client requirements, and industry best practice
  • Plan, track and communicate throughout data implementation project
  • Configure software and provide software support, testing, troubleshooting and training
  • Communicating with clients and presenting data as required
  • Work with Clients to develop and recommend data implementation strategies
  • Provide software testing and support as required  
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to interpret, document, resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely, professional and customer centered manner
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of appropriate tools and resources to develop training content for clients.
  • Ability to be trained as a trainer to deliver training content/software configuration for clients on PSD products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree in Information Management, Environmental Studies, Geography, GIS, Accounting or related program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with cloud software environments and be at the intermediate or expert level with technologies (MS Excel, MS ACCESS and have intermediate knowledge (experiential/educational) of GIS software and/or relational databases Query Languages (such as SQL). 
  • Experience working with clients in a software support/training environment.  
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Municipal Infrastructure Data/Asset Management/GIS Data and Systems
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills is significant in this role
  • Knowledge and experience with GIS software (QGIS, ESRI suite etc.) and analytical tools 
  • Experience with reporting software tools is a significant asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Comfortable working in an individual and team goal-oriented role.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings or training sessions with various client contacts.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills essential.
  • Deadline driven individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, creative, and able to collaborate with team members with professionalism and tact.
