Help Desk & Desktop Support

 

The Client Support Specialist - Client Support is responsible for troubleshooting first level requests/calls from hospital staff and physicians. Calls are taken either directly by telephone or re-directed through a queue for on-site support. They resolve basic technical questions and work on hardware/software issues related to individual computer access remotely and onsite.

 

Regular full-time

 

Rate of Pay:               $28.37 per hour - $39.00 per hour

 

Hours of Work:           37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

 
  • High school diploma
  • 2-year college certificate or diploma in Science, Technology, Networking or related preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years' recent and relevant experience
  • Excellent customer service and personal interaction skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
  • Proficient technical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of general hardware components, software applications and networking tools
  • Knowledge of health care specific computer applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
