Responsibilities

• Design and maintain highly available network infrastructure across AWS and data center.
• Lead projects that maintain and enhance the CARFAX AWS network.
• Lead or assist with network troubleshooting to resolve outages.
• Advanced understanding of traditional and AWS network stack, DNS, load-balancing, security.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

We do not expect all applicants to meet all qualifications, but all applicants should meet most qualifications.

• 3+ years experience with AWS networking as a primary responsibility:
  • Proven ability to architect cloud network infrastructure.
  • VPC, ALB, ELN, NLB, Transit Gateway, VPN, Security Groups, EC2, BGP/Direct Connect, Global Accelerator, R53
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments
• Configuration and maintenance experience with BGP.
• 2+ years experience with NGINX on an EC2 in AWS.
• 2+ years experience with regular use of Terraform as a primary tool to deploy infrastructure as code.
• Deep understanding of network fundamentals.
• Significant previous experience with traditional networking in multi-site enterprise and data center environments.

Desired Skills

• Highly desirable, but not required:  Python and Shell scripting.
• Highly desirable, but not required:  Prometheus/Grafana.
