Job Description
Senior Optical System Test Technician
Your primary responsibilities as a senior member of the Test Team are to perform final assembly, optical alignment, and test of both standard and custom products; to troubleshoot problems, and to provide customer support for existing systems.

Your primary responsibilities as a senior member of the Test Team are to perform final assembly, optical alignment, and test of both standard and custom products; to troubleshoot problems, and to provide customer support for existing systems.
- Interpreting and reading optical designs
- Integrating optical components to achieve required systems performance
- Aligning and testing standard products
- Prototyping and testing custom products
- Performing data analysis and reporting of measurement results
- Inspecting optical components for quality
- Supporting manufacturing for continuous design improvements
- Providing in-house and on-site customer support, including training and troubleshooting
- Creating and maintaining test instructions and product user manuals
- A MS/MA in Engineering / Physics/ Math /
- A good understanding of optical, mechanical, and electrical measurement techniques
- The ability to read optical, mechanical, and electrical assembly drawings
- The ability to use basic hand tools
- The ability to create scripts for data analysis in MATLAB
- To be responsible, team-oriented, and process aware
- Detail orientation and strong focus while working
- Excellent team work and collaboration capabilities in addition to effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to travel outside of North America for occasional support visits as required
- The ability to lift objects up to 25 kg
- The ability to use Microsoft application (Word, Excel) software on Windows computers
- Minimum two years manufacturing or laboratory experience assembling, aligning, and/or using optical systems
