Role Description
We are steering the video industry by producing a video wholesaling solution built on top of an advanced microservices framework. This Cloud-born SaaS application is used by the world’s largest MSO and provides advanced video services to retail cable providers to reach millions of subscribers around the world. We have a spectacular opportunity for a Senior Software QA Engineer in London, Ontario to pioneer their career by cultivating real-world experiences with Enterprise solutions and cutting-edge technologies through the lens of our fantastic team.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who wields a robust appetite and tenacious grit for learning, collaborating, and prototyping solutions for program initiatives. Embarking on a journey alongside a widespread colony of about 2,200 employees, you are expected to collaborate with a plethora of teams from 3 Canadian offices, 4 US locations, and others all over the globe. Hence, strong communication and collaborative skills are exceptionally vital in conquering new technologies and forging an infinite path with us.

Responsibilities
- Work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and quick learner
- Understand, adapt and evolve numerous existing test suites
- Develop comprehensive test plans from requirements and user stories in an Agile environment
- Author, execute and maintain complicated test cases and test suites
- Automate test suites to run using scheduled jobs using one or more conditional scenarios
- Test distributed software systems and web applications
- Maintain, improve and support existing automation test suites spanning numerous microservices
- Investigate new technologies and implement/integrate them as needed
- Collaborate with distributed development and test teams on numerous automation initiatives
Personal Attributes
- 5+ years deriving comprehensive test plans from requirements and user stories in an Agile environment, and authoring and execution of test cases
- 5+ years of advanced SoapUI/ReadyAPI experience
- 5+ years intermediate Selenium experience
- 5+ years working with RESTful services
- 5+ years testing distributed software systems and Web applications
- 5+ years using Jenkins for automation
- 5+ years experience with performance testing and tuning
- 5 years Linux Scripting (Bourne/Bash/Ruby/Python)
- 5 years OOP experience (Java, C++, or similar language)
- 5 years working with software deployed in highly distributed, preferably cloud-based, environments spanning data centers
Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodology
- Java programming experience
- Performance Testing experience (jMeter)
- Non-functional Testing experience
- Experienced in providing effort estimates in an Agile environment
- Able to work in the full development lifecycle
- Has excellent troubleshooting skills
