Western Communications is a team of advisors, strategists, creators and storytellers whose work is focused on promoting, enhancing and protecting Western’s brand as one of the best research-intensive universities in Canada and internationally.

Responsibilities
           
The Web Strategy Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to a small team of developers and designers responsible for delivering seamless user experiences across all Western Communications web properties. They will improve and optimize the experiences of millions of visitors to uwo.ca every year, including ensuring user-centric site navigation and high-quality experiences for all users.

The Web Strategy Manager will collaborate to develop and execute a strategic web roadmap, prioritizing audience needs and best practices, and ensuring the timely delivery of web experience projects. They will develop and uphold modern web development and governance processes, ensuring compliance to regulations, Western values, and brand standards.

Who you are
           
Whatever the latest digital trend, you are familiar with it and can effectively communicate the implications and opportunities to diverse stakeholders. You are a go-to tech expert, with 5 years’ experience designing and developing compelling and flawless web experiences. You have experience managing complex web projects and cross-functional teams, and you are comfortable working in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console.  You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and have a strong creative orientation rooted in digital brand experience and analytics. You are a strong planner with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a very fast-paced environment, using your highly developed organizational and project management skills.
