Senior Market Research Associate
 

The Role:

As a Senior Research Associate, you will support the cross-functional study design teams for our customer satisfaction survey research-based business. The primary duties of the Research Design team include working with internal key stakeholders to develop new or revised survey content in line with J.D. Power standards, developing and maintaining the sample design, and performing data cleansing and validation for our syndicated research products. You will work closely with the Data Science team to ensure studies are designed to maintain scientific integrity and quality and that syndicated studies are produced in an efficient and timely manner.

You will also support our proprietary engagements and work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to develop project specifications, assist in managing end to end project execution, contribute to the analysis and design of client deliverables, produce high quality client deliverables, and respond to client inquiries.

 

The Impact: The Senior Research Associate will be an individual contributor to a larger team of over 20 Research Design analysts. You are expected to be a self-starter who can work without close supervision and will with other departments. You and your team will ensure that J.D. Power studies are developed or redesigned to meet client needs in a timely manner and ensure that the production of both syndicated and proprietary studies is efficient and smooth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that survey and sample plan designs meet J.D. Power standards
  • Develop and document survey and sample plan specifications and artifacts
  • Work with survey programming and data processing specialists to ensure study designs are implemented as planned
  • Cleanse and QA survey data to ensure data validity
  • Perform QA processes on internal analysis (DP specs, SP skip logic/programming)
  • Analyze data and identify market insights with supervision
  • Assist in the authoring of research reports
  • Assist in the design of client presentations
  • Assist in managing end to end proprietary projects

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in market research and/or related fields
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to write technical documents
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Proficiency in in SPSS (preferred but not required)
  • Bilingual – English/French (preferred but not required)
