QA Supervisor
 

ZTR is looking for an experienced QA Supervisor to provide leadership and be accountable for the quality of ZTR’s product portfolio. This role will lead the Quality Assurance and Control team and be the “go-to” expert in the subject matter.

As the QA Supervisor you will:

  • Help to set the quality vision and definition for the IIoT organization
  • Provide guidance to teammates, resource allocation, training and performance reviews
  • Provide technical support to manual and automation QA Specialists
  • Ensure all newly developed products, both hardware and software, are tested to meet ZTR IIoT quality standards
  • Collaborate with software and hardware engineers, project managers, analysts and other quality specialists to plan, document and execute testing across many different products and projects
  • Participate in and drive consistent and aligned DevOps/DevSecOps best practices, and maintain best-in-class CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with the development teams to support metrics and KPIs.
  • Interpret engineering and business requirements to develop test plans and cases, both manual and automated; and execute test plans as part of product and project releases.
  • Document and measure test execution in order to determine release readiness.
  • Recommend and implement testing tools, processes and environments.
  • Experience in deployment and administration of CI/CD tools preferably GitLab

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Masters degree an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware and software QA role, preferably in a product development environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with embedded devices, hardware and firmware, SaaS software platforms.
  • Experience with common automation frameworks (Ranorex, Selenium, Jasmine, Appium, Postman, JMeter, Loadrunner, etc.)
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Experience with SAST/DAST code analytics tools such as Coverity, Fortify, Checkmark, Varacode.
  • Experience with Vulnerability/SCA/FOSS testing best practices and tools (Blackduck, JFrog Xray, etc.)
  • Self-motivated to succeed while working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and cross training skills (peers, supervisor, and direct reports).
  • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity, stress, and shifting priorities.
