This role has an expectation of 2 days in the office per week, subject to change based on future business needs.

As a Software Engineer - ML Tooling you will be a part of the Carfax Data, AI & ML team. You will be working collaboratively with ML Engineers and Data Scientists to build products, platforms, and pipelines to support machine learning initiatives at Carfax. Leveraging the latest techniques and tools, this unique opportunity will aim to unlock the hidden potential in billions of records and enrich the quality of data provided by our automotive reporting products delivered daily to consumers across the globe.

What you'll be doing:

·        Work in a team environment using Agile practices

·        Develop high performing data streams and APIs to guarantee fast and accurate delivery

·        Transform highly complex unstructured data into normalize, consumable details for customers and police agencies

·        Utilize test driven, paired programming and continuous integration development methods

·        Constantly be exposed to new technologies to learn and grow your skills
 

What we're looking for:

·        Object Oriented Programming (4+ years)

·        Java/C#/Python

·        Big data/Hadoop/Spark

·        Containerization, microservices, Spring

·        Cloud based technologies

·        Experience with non-relational databases

·        Git and branching strategies

·        Working and collaborating with remote teams

·        Knowledge of coding best practices for security and performance

·        Ambition, passion, and drive to learn and bring new technologies to solve the problem and create new products

·        Continuous Integration / Delivery

·        Agile software development including Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
