The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) to join our dynamic team as an Algorithm Specialist. In this unique role, you will play a lead role in understanding, enhancing, and expanding the capabilities of our proprietary valuation algorithm. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the continued development of our platform’s ability to provide accurate valuations to accounting firms across North America that can serve as the basis for additional advisory opportunities. The platform’s [already robust] logic will be yours to enhance and refine, allowing it to handle the most complex valuation analysis on a fully automated basis. With your involvement, interVal will become the leader in supporting accounting firms across North America with insights powered by our algorithm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Mastery: Gain an in-depth understanding of our existing valuation algorithm, which serves as the foundation of our platform.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams and customers to identify areas for improvement and expansion of the algorithm's capabilities.
• Requirements Development: Work closely with our product and development teams to translate enhancement ideas into actionable requirements for developers.
• Innovation: Act as a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented individual who recognizes the disruptive potential of AI and emerging technologies in the field of business valuation.
• Collaboration: Engage with the Chartered Business Valuators (CBVs) within our customer base to ensure that our platform aligns with industry standards and expectations.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with changes in valuation standards and regulations, especially in the Canadian market, to ensure our platform remains compliant.
• Cross-Training: Familiarize yourself with the International Standard Valuation (ISV) to enable expansion into both Canadian and international markets.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Business Valuator (CBV): Possession of a CBV designation is a must, with practical industry experience.
• Innovative Thinker: Ability to think creatively and strategically to drive innovation in the valuation process.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology and eager to explore the intersection of AI and business valuation.
