CARFAX’s Product Manager – Consumer Data Platform (CDP) will own the vision and implementation of a Customer Data Platform as we work to grow to 100M users and beyond. Building a 360 view of our customers is essential to create a truly personalized and predictive experience guiding millions of people as they shop, buy, maintain or sell cars.
This position is full time and based in Ontario. We are open to considering remote candidates who are willing to travel to the London, Ontario office 1-2 times a month and on a quarterly basis to our office in Centreville, VA.
As a Product Manager - CDP, you will:
- Create the vision for unifying product data and integrating it throughout CARFAX
- Identify new opportunities that can be unlocked by unifying the data
- Rally the business behind the centralized data concept and work to infuse it into our culture
- Lead cross-functional teams; including engineering, project management, analytics, SEO and user research - in the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products.
- Make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative data. Deeply understand used car shopper needs, pain points, and behaviors, and transform that knowledge into a cohesive roadmap of features that aligns to company goals.
- Translate your product vision into detailed functional specifications.
- Define metrics that inform the success of your products, monitor performance in real time, and determine a product roll-out strategy based on data insights.
- Understand CARFAX’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry.
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of product management focused on large scale platforms or services (preferred)
- Previous experience leading or implementing a Customer Data Platform (preferred)
- Experience integrating features across multiple teams
- Demonstrated track record working with data and/or data products (preferred)
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias toward action and customer focused innovation. You thrive on challenges and not be deterred by difficult situations. You work proactively rather than reactively.
- Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills - able to manage stakeholders up, down, and sideways.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; willingness to get into the details and drive clarity from ambiguity.
- Proven ability to push forward on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for making decisions quickly in order to seize opportunities that lead to team success.
