Job Details

Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Pricing Analyst will work closely with the business to provide pricing recommendations, analysis and planning in order to support decision making and strategic initiatives.

The Pricing Analyst will help develop pricing models and frameworks across the company. The successful candidate will understand pricing strategies and must have strong technical expertise.

The FP&A team are key contributors to the strategic planning and budget process providing both leadership and support to the business.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of pricing policies and procedures to guide decision-making.
  • Provide pricing analysis to stakeholders that identifies key drivers, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data as well as translate analytics into simple and actionable pricing guidelines for business units.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and measurement of pricing strategies to optimize revenue growth.
  • Work with the finance team to facilitate the annual planning and budgeting process.
  • Collection, analysis, and communication of internal and external information including industry, competitor, economic, and other key data sources to support strategic decisions.
  • Ad hoc projects, requests for information and analysis as required.
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to provide analysis support as required.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, math or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years’ experience in an analyst type role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven manner.
  • Ability to work across multiple job levels and departments to achieve results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present analyses to a variety of stakeholders and varying levels of financial acumen.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pricing strategies an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, conditional sums, etc.).
  • Experience querying large databases using SQL an asset.
  • Experience performing statistical analyses such as regression.
  • Auto industry knowledge an asset.
