Job Description
Bookkeeper (Co-op)
Indie game studio, Joydrop, and its serious sister company, Mikutech, are looking to add an energetic bookkeeper willing to learn our accounting methods, brave enough to offer suggestions for improving them, and mature enough to accept that some methods can not be modified. :) The co-op bookkeeper will work under the guidance of senior members of the company, including the CEO, lightening their accounting load.
Job Responsibilities
- Become familiar with our work-for-hire projects and clients
- Follow the company’s methodology in all activities
- Contact clients for legal and invoicing purposes, ensuring exceptional customer service via in-person meetings, e-mail, phone or video-conference
- Compile reports and gather documentation
- Input data and archive accounting documents
- Assist with office administration, basic legal tasks, and payroll
Required Skills and Experience
- Expert Excel/Google Sheets skills and a knowledge of postgreSQL
- Energetic and personable
- Exceptional verbal and written skills
- Attentive to detail with a proactive attitude in documenting task progress
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
- Willing to communicate opinions or problems
- Able to work independently when necessary
Nice to have
- Experience in client relations
- Experience in or passion for technology, educational, medicine, software, or video game fields
- Knowledge of a computer programming language
- Legal studies
