Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Western student to join Ivey’s marketing department. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in driving leads and creatively engaging with prospective students.¿
Key Responsibilities:¿
Content Creation:¿

Contribute to the development of marketing materials, including blog posts, emails, and digital ads.¿
Market Research:¿

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential opportunities.¿

Analyze data to provide insights that inform marketing strategies.¿
Campaign Support:¿

Help develop creative briefs and collaborate with Ivey’s marketing agencies and vendors to execute projects.¿

Assist in tracking and measuring the success of marketing initiatives.¿
Email Marketing:¿

Support the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns.¿

Monitor and analyze email campaign performance to optimize future efforts.¿
Analytics and Reporting:¿

Use analytics tools to track key performance indicators and generate reports.¿

Provide regular updates on marketing performance to the team.¿
¿ Social Media Management:¿

Assist in managing and creating content for our social media platforms.¿

Monitor social media trends and suggest strategies to increase engagement.¿
Qualifications
Education:
- Must be a full time student at Western (enrolled in minimum 3.5 courses), and expect to retain full-time student status for the duration of this appointment
Experience:
- Previous work experience in a similar role or within the department
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Strong desire to learn and gain professional experience.¿

Basic understanding of marketing techniques.¿

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.¿

Familiarity with marketing software and online applications is a plus (e.g., CRM tools, online analytics, Canva, etc).¿

Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.¿

Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program.
