UX Researcher

ZTR is looking for an experienced UX Researcher to create a rich, unified and consistent customer experience. This role will work closely with Marketing and Communications, as well as our customers to gain a full understanding of users' needs and perspectives to drive the user experience strategy for the entire IIoT Division.

ZTR is headquartered in London, ON; for this role, remote work is available.

As the UX Researcher you will:

• Develop partnerships with product, engineering & marketing leadership to understand strategy, business needs and roadmaps.
• Lead the planning and development process of ZTR’s digital interface design standards, usability guidelines, accessibility guidelines and development methodologies.
• Research new methodologies, navigational models, visual, and interaction designs for all ZTR IIoT products.
• Spend time with our customers to understand their needs.
• Use a design thinking approach to help the UX development teams develop expertise and an understanding of our customers and their needs.
• Advocate research findings to key internal and external stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Masters degree an asset.
• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering user-centered experiences
• Hands-on working knowledge of web and mobile design, digital branding, and interactive practices.
• A clear understanding of diverse markets with the ability to communicate the balance of user needs, business objectives, and technology constraints to key stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to deal with ambiguity, stress, and shifting priorities.
