Location: London, Ontario, Canada

Duration: 4+ month contract

The Role: 

The Financial Analyst works as part of the Smart Digital Program team within Autodata Solutions. Responsibilities include vetting and reconciling monthly billings, vendor invoicing, and customer invoicing. Key success factors for this position include; an analytic and problem-solving mind, competence with spreadsheet and database software, a strong aptitude in working with complex numbers, figures, and patterns, and strong people and communication skills. The Financial Analyst is a fast learner and logical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy while meeting tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with accounting principles
• General knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
• Ability to set and manage priorities
• Self-motivated, directed, detail-oriented and tenacious
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Solid ability to assess, design and document processes
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to review, analyse and evaluate large volumes of information within tight deadlines
• Responsible for resolving issues affecting billing and escalating issues as appropriate
• Adherence to corporate policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 - 5 years accounting experience preferred
• Completion or pursuit of a professional accounting designation (CPA CA, CMA, or CGA) considered an asset but not required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the office suite. Particular expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) required
• Must be detail-oriented and execute with a high-level of accuracy
• Experience with analysis, metrics & reporting is preferred
• Knowledge/experience with accounting systems would be an asset
• Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and also be a team-player
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
• Sense of urgency and goal-oriented
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, projects and tasks concurrently
• Must be self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to the company’s changing needs
