Job Description
Business Analyst - Technical & Data
laying a dual role, a Business Analyst – Technical and Data (BATD) will analyze information and operational systems and develop software applications or data analytics solutions for the company. They manipulate and analyze large data sets to answer business questions and document results which may be used as the basis for new or updated software solutions. They sometimes provide ongoing support for these solutions. As technology changes and customers evolve, so must their products.
Data Analysis

- Work with larger data sets, manage and manipulate through programming.
- Analyze these data sets and deliver reports that outline a company’s inefficiencies, inaccuracies and other issues.
- In collaboration with functional leaders or experts, make recommendations, draw market-oriented conclusions and develop business solutions.
Business Analysis

- Help gather and determine requirements, either with cross-functional groups or other Business/Process analysts.
- Assist stakeholders to determine best solutions to a problem and then create and lead system change proposals·
- Assess ways to further leverage existing systems ·
- While evaluating new projects or requests for enhancements, help determine the project cost, timeline, goals and feasibility and then support the project through completion.
Existing Software Modification

- Ensure data or software solutions continue to meet customer needs by capturing changes in requirements and making corresponding updates to existing software or data analytics. This can range from implementing small software enhancements to completely redesigning a program
Software Development

- Partnering with other programmers, aid in the design, development and implementation of new programs and applications. This can include developing in-house software or software for sales purposes.
- Participate in the testing and de-bugging of new software, making recommendations to the programming team that respond to technical problems.
Qualifications

- The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a college diploma/degree and 3-5 years of relative experience. They must have very strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be business-minded. The proven ability to work independently and part of a team and meet important deadlines. Proficiency in current programming and data analytics languages/tools. Demonstrated database management and design skills. Understanding of enterprise and company systems. Facilitation skills and business proves mapping and analysis experience preferred. Statistical analysis skills are an asset.
$75,000 - $124,000 a year
