What We’re Looking For

Northern is seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Service Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce Service Cloud solutions to meet our business requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, provide technical guidance, and propose solutions that leverage the capabilities of Service Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Service Cloud development, along with a strong background in web technologies and a desire to stay current with Salesforce platform updates. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Salesforce Service Cloud solutions to meet business requirements, including designing and implementing custom objects, workflows, and automation processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, provide technical guidance, and propose solutions that leverage the capabilities of Service Cloud.
  • Configure and customize Service Cloud Console, Case Management, Knowledge Management, and other Service Cloud features to optimize the customer support experience.
  • Integrate Service Cloud with other systems and applications, such as ERP, CRM, and third-party tools, to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Design and develop custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools to extend the functionality of Service Cloud.
  • Conduct demos showcasing the functionality of the service cloud platform
  • Implement and maintain Salesforce security measures, including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing settings, to ensure data integrity and privacy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA testers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Stay current with the Salesforce platform updates and new features, evaluating their impact on our existing solutions and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Service Cloud functionality and configuration.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and code changes, ensuring that all documentation is up to date and easily accessible to team members.

 

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience developing and customizing Salesforce Service Cloud solutions, including custom objects, workflows, and automation processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Salesforce certifications related to Service Cloud, such as Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, are a plus.
  • Experience with configuring and customizing Service Cloud features, including Console, Case Management, and Knowledge Management.
  • Proven track record of integrating Service Cloud with other systems and applications, such as ERP, CRM, and third-party tools.
  • Proficiency in Apex programming language, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including QA testers and project managers.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to end users.
  • Desire to stay current with Salesforce platform updates and new features, and evaluate their impact on existing solutions.
  • Experience in documenting technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and code changes.

Bonus Skill:

  • Previous order management experience
