We are looking for a Development Technologist to work with our expert process development team.  Do you have a passion for Cell and Gene Therapy? Then we would love to hear from you.  

 

What you’ll do

  • Provide bioreactor support spanning projects across the process development group
  • Work effectively with other team members in a multi-disciplinary environment.  Assist and train others as necessary.
  • Assist in the daily organization and operation of a multi-disciplinary lab, including: preparing purchase orders; monitoring inventory; and, equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility and a positive attitude in daily performance to motivate others to do the same.
  • Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

 

Who you are

  • BEng or BSc (Hon) or similar in a biotechnology, or cell biology related discipline. 
  • Hands-on experience with cleaning, setup, and operation of various bioreactors platforms and scales with practical knowledge of cell biology and/or bioprocess techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory safety plans and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local regulations.
  • Experience in following and composing SOPs with excellent analytical, problem solving and research skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communications skills with solid working knowledge of MS Office programs and comfort with learning new software applications.
  • Experience with cell and molecular analytic techniques, such as flow cytometry and q-PCR, and working knowledge of static and suspension-based cell culture
  • Hands-on experience with human primary cell culture, including but not limited to stem cells, and/or cell lines
