The Software Developer will bring a wide set of skills to our IT team and help move our portfolio of in-house developed apps, third party software integrations and reporting forward. This role will support the current environment and build the next generation tools, reporting and integrations while working closely with third party vendors, SMEs and with our internal partners at all levels of the organization. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)
• Produce fully functional web applications, writing clean code
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
• Maintain current in-house and third-party applications
• Support end-users of the applications
• Design interfaces to improve user experience
• Create beautiful reports that fill a business need
• Research and suggest new products, applications, reports and protocols
• Stay up to date with new technology trends
• Support your IT partners with other design/development tasks and projects

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• In-depth knowledge of .NET web and/or mobile development including C#, MVC, Razor, Blazor, etc. Or in-depth knowledge of a modern language like PHP, Ruby, or Javascript and a willingness to learn the .NET environment
• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Knowledge of reporting options including, HTML/JS, Grafana, SSRS
• Experience developing, maintaining and consuming APIs
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, SQL management and db/query optimization
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Familiarity with OOP design principles
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and BDD/TDD
• Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
• Ability to perform in a team environment
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong personal and professional skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or relevant field
• Proven work experience as a full-stack web developer, application developer or mobile developer
