Job Description

We are hiring a Data Maintenance Specialist in our St. Thomas, ON location!
The Data Maintenance Specialist coordinates the creation of Maintenance and Installation documents, handles the data on the SpecSelect website and supports the Masco Canada Label System.

What you will do:

Work with various groups to coordinate the design, creation and revision of Maintenance & Installation (M&I) sheets and other technical documents
Develop, maintain and improve content in the SpecSelect.com online database
Design and produce graphics, document and text files for web and print
Label format creation and database maintenance
Supervise the status of translation work with external translators
Build Google Analytics queries
Make recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices
Perform internal system audits on a periodic basis to ensure data integrity
Assess database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas

Who you are:

Background in technical writing within a manufacturing setting and have excellent oral and written communication skills
Up-to-date with industry leading software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD)
Proven graphic design skills
Experience crafting, maintaining and improving database-driven websites, developing with HTML, JavaScript etc.
Intermediate to advanced Excel
Knowledge of JDEdwards, ViewPoint and familiarity with Masco Canada’s commercial products would be strong benefits
Strong problem solving skills
Detail oriented, organized and capable of prioritising multiple deadlines
Able to work independently while still supporting a team effort
Post-secondary diploma or degree in graphic design, technical writing, business administration or other relevant field
